Ansible Role: basics

Configures some basics on a system, which are not worth an own role.

Role Variables

External Variables

None.

Public Role Variables

Feature selection:

  • basics_include_hostname (boolean), default true. Whether tasks for hostname should be included or not.
  • basics_include_sudo_defaults (boolean), default true. Whether tasks for sudo defaults should be included or not.
  • basics_include_systemd_timesyncd (boolean), default true. Whether tasks for systemd-timesyncd should be included or not.

Configuration:

  • basics_hostname (string), default to split the inventory_hostname by . and use the first list item. Hostname for the host to set.
  • basics_hostname_use (string), default systemd. Tool to use for setting the hostname.

Internal Role Variables

  • basics_systemd_timesyncd_conf_dir (string), value /etc/systemd/timesyncd.conf.d. Directory path for systemd-timesyncd drop-in configuration files.

Dependencies

None.
